03-25-18: On this Palm Sunday we look at Jesus' prayer in the garden, later on, this week. Jesus' triumphant entry and this prayer all point to Christ's obedience to God. There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to obedience but what can we learn from Christ as we start this Holy Week?
03-18-18: We look at Zacchaeus and Jesus this week. Zacchaeus is looking for Jesus and what he finds is Jesus has already found him. When we surrender ourselves to God, we find a lot of uncertainty.
03-11-18: We have a lot of uncertainty about what happens after we die. This week we talk about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead and the uncertainty of death.
03-04-18: In the third week of Lent we look at the uncertainty of worry. We are a culture filled with worry but what are the root causes and what can we learn from Jesus' conversation in Luke 12?
02-25-18: This week we dive into the uncertainty of forgiveness. Why do we do it? What does it look like? Is it really that big of a deal?
02-18-18: During Lent, we will explore a book by Magrey DeVega called, "Embracing the Uncertain." We live in uncertain times and in an uncertain world. This week we look at a father's reply to Jesus, "I have faith, help my lack of faith."
02-11-18: This is my annual sermon about the state of the church. We look back at what God has done in us and through us in 2017 and then ask where God is calling us in 2018.
02-04-18: This is the final sermon in our series, #blessed. We cover the last two Beatitudes found in Matthew 5 and truly learn what it looks like to live a blessed life. A blessed life is full of making peace and rejoicing when persecuted. Jesus continues to turn our world upside down.
01-28-18: The way to a blessed life is found in being merciful and having a pure heart. Jesus continues to push us and turns our world upside down.
01-21-18: We continue to work through the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 and look at the way Jesus tells us we should live a #blessed life. This week we talk about meekness and righteousness.
